Who operates COnnect

Accepting these terms

By using the portal, creating an account, joining an event, or sharing community content, you agree to these terms and the community guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the portal. Use accurate information, keep account and private RSVP links secure, and do not attempt unauthorized access or disrupt the service.

Current free-access posture

COnnect does not currently offer a paid membership plan or process membership charges through the portal. Guest RSVP and optional membership are currently free. If COnnect later introduces paid membership, the price, benefits, renewal schedule, cancellation and refund rules, and updated terms will be presented before a charge is authorized.

An individual event may have a separate cost only when that cost and the applicable payment, cancellation, and refund terms are clearly disclosed before registration. COnnect is not responsible for an undisclosed payment requested outside the portal.

Events, RSVPs, and cancellations

Event details, capacity, weather plans, locations, and host availability may change. Reserve only the places you intend to use, follow event-specific instructions, and cancel promptly when plans change. An RSVP records an intention to attend; it does not guarantee that an event will occur or that every requested accommodation can be provided.

Outdoor activity and personal responsibility

Outdoor, travel, social, and recreational activities can involve changing conditions and risks, including injury, illness, property loss, or interactions with other participants. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for your experience, health, equipment, transportation, and comfort level; preparing appropriately; following applicable laws and site rules; and leaving an activity when conditions feel unsafe. COnnect does not provide medical, legal, transportation, emergency, or professional outdoor-safety advice.

Community content and conduct

You remain responsible for messages, plans, profile information, images, and other content you submit. You must have the right to share that content and must not post unlawful, deceptive, harassing, discriminatory, threatening, privacy-invasive, or harmful material. You give COnnect a limited permission to store, display, and process your content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the community features you choose to use.

COnnect may remove content, cancel plans, limit features, or suspend or close access when reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate a report, enforce these terms or the community guidelines, comply with law, or protect the service. COnnect may preserve relevant records when needed for a safety, fraud, legal, or operational review.

Accounts and third-party services

Membership accounts are optional for guest RSVP. Account holders are responsible for activity under their accounts and should notify COnnect promptly if an account or private RSVP link may be compromised. The portal depends on third-party hosting, identity, database, and related services. Their availability and terms may affect the portal, and COnnect cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Organizer venue search uses Google Maps and Google Places. Google-provided map and place content is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms and the Google Terms of Service. COnnect uses that content as transient reference information. A Google place must be linked to an independently maintained COnnect venue record before it can fill an event’s saved venue snapshot.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the portal, community content, and event information are provided “as is” and “as available.” COnnect does not guarantee that information supplied by participants or hosts is complete, that the service will always be available, or that participation will meet a particular expectation.

Limits of responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Corey Martin and COnnect are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by participant conduct, changing event conditions, third-party services, unauthorized access outside COnnect’s reasonable control, or a participant’s decision to join an activity. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or responsibility that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Resolving concerns

Please contact rscbend@gmail.com first so COnnect has a reasonable opportunity to understand and address a concern. To the extent permitted by law, these terms are governed by Oregon law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought in a state or federal court serving Deschutes County, Oregon. This section does not prevent either side from using an available small-claims process or exercising a non-waivable consumer right.

Changes to these terms

COnnect may update these terms as the community or service changes. Material changes will be dated and communicated before they take effect when reasonably practical. Continued use after an updated effective date means you accept the updated terms.
