Make it easy for people to belong.
COnnect works when every person helps create a welcoming, grounded, and respectful community.
Lead with warmth.
Welcome new faces, respect different comfort levels, and make room for people to participate without pressure.
Respect boundaries.
Listen when someone says no. Do not harass, intimidate, discriminate, or make unwanted romantic or physical advances.
Be honest about plans.
Share useful details about difficulty, cost, location, timing, accessibility, and changes. Cancel promptly if you cannot attend.
Take care outside.
Prepare for conditions, follow local rules, respect land and wildlife, and make choices that do not put others at unnecessary risk.
Protect privacy.
Do not share someone else’s personal information, images, location, or private conversation without permission.
Speak up early.
Use reporting tools or contact an organizer if something feels unsafe or conflicts with these guidelines. Good-faith reports are handled as privately as practical.
Reporting and blocking
Members can report a member, message, or last-minute plan from the relevant community screen and can block another member to hide that person’s content where the portal supports it. If the in-app route is unavailable, email rscbend@gmail.com. Do not include passwords, private RSVP links, or more personal information than the organizer needs to understand the concern.
Organizer response
COnnect may remove content, cancel plans, limit access, or suspend a member while reviewing a safety concern. COnnect aims to acknowledge a moderation report within two business days, triage an urgent concern as soon as practical, and complete an ordinary review within seven days. These are response targets rather than guaranteed resolution times, and the portal is not an emergency-monitoring service. Organizers should limit access to report details, keep a record of important actions, and respond consistently based on the available evidence. Serious or immediate danger should be reported to local emergency services first.
Questions about a decision
A member may email rscbend@gmail.com to ask for a moderation decision to be reviewed. COnnect may keep restrictions in place while it evaluates safety and community impact.
